This beautiful, great Tanto was made by the blacksmith Seshu Zumi Muramasa.Especially the first generation was known as a skillful blacksmith.He lived in Seshu at the Kyoho Era (1716-1736).However this blade was made in an commercial center of Osaka, what he marked on the tang of the blade. Normally a tanto blade is at the max. one shaku long(30,3 cm).This norm was exceeded by 0,1cm. Never the less the hole look of this piece is like Tanto.
This Tanto is hirazukuri iorimune, ko-itame.mina-yakiba with ubu Nakago, 1 mekugiana and inscription with Origami JTK (Juho Token Kenkyukai).

and: Osaka nioto kore o tsukuru (forged in Osaka)
