Oshu Tsugaru ju Kunihiro, a smith from the middle Edo time, made this fascinating blade around 1700. For a beautiful piece like this it is easy to catch the interest of everybody, who is looking at. Not just because of the perfect mounts, the fine Tsuba, particularly with regard to the special blade, it is very attractive. The Hamon and the cumulative effect assure oneself.
This Katana comes with a Tokubetsu Hozon by NBTHK, add on a Hozon for the mounts and a separate Hozon for the Tsuba. A really extraordinary set !
