Dewa Daijo Kunimichi

This very nice sword was made at the beginning of Edo around 1630. It is attributed by a Tokubetsu Hozon from NBTHK to Dewa Daijo Kunimichi. This very elegant Katana made by this jo saku smith is in perfect condition and has a beautiful Hamon. Also in Hawleys Kunimichi is very high ranked with high points. The Nakago is ubu and mumei. The sword comes in a nice and warm red coloured monts in good condition.
Kunimichi is said to the best student of the famous Horikawa Kunihiro and he was producing swords for a long period of time ( around 1608 – 1661 ). Early he was honored with the titel “Dewa Daijo”.
