The first thing what you will realize with this nice Katana will be the beautiful mounts, the Koshirae. The saya has plenty of mother of pearl without being invasive. And the other parts of the mounting are good for an intensive look as well. It´s just an elegant Koshirae. And the blade which belongs to those nice mounts is not less good in quality. Echizen Kuni ju Kanetane is rated as a good smith by Fujishiro. The blade is an unshorten fully signed ubu Katana. It is a blade coming from early Edo times around 1620. This Katana has a slightly curvature and a very appealing length of nearly 74cm. A truly nice and beautiful sword and Koshirae combination  .
