YUKIHIRO DEWA NO DAIJÔ SHODAI [KANBUN 1661 HIZEN] SHINTÔ JÔSAKU
He is the younger brother of shodai Masahiro, is called Kyûrôbei, and he learned forging with Oranda tetsu (Holland steel) in Keian Sannen (1650). He was 32 years of age at this time. He received the title of Dewa no Daijô in Shôhô Gonen (1648), and of Dewa no Kami in Kanbun Sannen (1663). He died at the age of 66 in Tenna Sannen (1683) Gogatsu. His works resemble those of Masahiro, have a wide body, ji of ko-moku, and ha is gonome midare, suguba nado.

Yukihiro is one of the very good blacksmith of his time (Fujishiro) and is also high ranked by Hawley with 45 points. This very good blade is signed by him with ”Ichi Hizen Koku Dewa no Kami Yukihiro” with Tachimei and added ”Motte Oranda Tetsu”. Yukihiro was the younger brother of first generation Masahiro and started forging dutch steel around 1650. Aged 30 he was honored with the title of >Dewa no Deijo<, and than 15 years later he became >Dewa no Kami<. This wonderful blade is coming from that periode of time. His works was very resemble with those of Masahiro shodai.
With this beautiful Katana comes a very good matching Tachi Koshirae. You should have a close look on that too though you can see the wonderful lacquer and woodwork, like the gleaming mons…. The Koshirae has a Hozon NBTHK itself.
The blade come with a Tokubetsu Hozon NBTHK.
