The blade you can admire at these pictures is a very fine one. It is sort of light and has an elegant form. This makes it a very fast sword, easy to handle and to draw, effective. This Katana was made by Bishu Tomo ju Sadatsugu in the year of 1455, signed and dated. This is in the middle of the Muromachi periode. Sadtsugu was the son of the founder of the Tomo-ha, Sadaie. Sadatsugu was a talented blacksmith and is rated by Hawley with 40 points. This very good sword come with a good Higo Koshirae which is worth collecting itself.
This blade is a Tokubetsu Hozon NBTHK papered sword.
